In this month's "technical tip" we are focusing on the new version of Sage 200 which is due for release this summer. It has incorporated a number of enhancements suggested by customer feedback to the 'ideas' hub - see light bulb icon at top right of your Sage 200 screen:
Here is a preview of the most useful new features.
Extra sales order statuses
New sales orders statuses allow the sales order list to be filtered and sales order progress tracked.
The new invoicing module provides for raising invoices without going through the sales order allocation and despatch process.
Hiding unwanted sales and purchase ledger accounts
These are then not shown in the sales and purchase account lists or included in lookup lists eg when producing reports.
Rapid purchase invoice entry
Provides a grid format for rapid entry of purchase invoices.
Raise purchase orders using the web client licence
You can now generate purchase orders from authorised requisitions using a web user licence. This means that users who create purchase orders from requisitions do not have to be full Sage 200 users.
Analysis codes for nominal accounts
Analysis codes have been available to add to customer, suppliers, stock items, sales and purchase orders. You can now set them up and add them to nominal accounts as well.
Report of the month
The report for June is now available. This report lists products sold by nominal code and customer.
